“They’re just looking out for you.” By testing my patience, but I didn’t mention that part. “I’m glad you found a quiet place to work, but don’t let them drive you crazy, okay? You’re allowed to have boundaries.”

Not that anyone at Leashes & Lace seemed to understand them.

He let out a soft chuckle that should’ve made me smile, but there was something in his tone that had me waiting to see what he would say next. “Cohen?”

“Yes, cutie?” I was pretty sure I could guess what he would say, but I didn’t jump the gun. Letting him work out his thoughts in his own time was important.

“Would you be upset if I told them what we were…I mean, what I think…fuck.” His frustrated huff had me laughing.

“I’m going to tell your Daddy if you keep cussing.” That got an embarrassed groan from the cutie, but he seemed lighter as he sighed.

“That’s not nice.” The smile in his voice had me imagining pulling him into my arms. “You can’t tattle.”

Scoffing, I rolled my eyes. “I’m not going to agree to that, but I might be bribed to keep some things to myself.”

He was silent for long enough that I started to worry, but right as I decided to apologize, a soft exhale had me pausing. “I don’t know how to bribe you. I don’t want to…to, well, assume anything?”

God, he was so fucking cute.

“How about you promise that I get the first kiss next time we’re all out on a date?” It was one of the more innocent things I could think of.

“Deal.” The relief and near giggle in his voice had my worries fading, but I wanted to make sure he knew nothing he could have said would’ve offended me.

“Cutie?”

He must’ve heard something he liked in my voice because he let out another soft happy sound. “Yes, Cohen?”

“You can be as honest as you’d like with your friends.” And his nosy coworkers. “I think Bishop would say the same thing, but the easiest explanation would be that we’re all dating together, and if anyone asks, I’d say Bishop is a switch and leave it at that.”

I wasn’t going to assume no one would ask even though I never would’ve been that nosy. I also wasn’t going to assume that Bishop would want to keep that bit of information to himself. It’d probably never occur to him not to talk about it.

“They’ve asked.” His dramatic sigh made me chuckle. “The questions have been flying faster than I could answer them, which was why Preston made me come hide.”

I had to remind myself that they were all well-intentioned and push back the anger that was probably a bit unreasonable. “It sounds like you’re going to need a break tonight.”

Would that involve just Bishop or both of us?

Fuck it.

Trying to read his mind would’ve ended badly for all involved, so I jumped in randomly. “Would you like to have Bishop come over and have little time later or should we all do something together?”

Plans could change. With three people dating together, we’d all have to get used to making adjustments when something came up.

“Together?” It wasn’t really an answer since it’d definitely come out as a question, but it gave me another angle, so I took it.

“We could have dinner over here and hang out. Big or little, it doesn’t really matter to me.” I was trying to be helpful but something about my approach wasn’t working.

“Dinner?” The lilting tone to his voice made it sound like another question, but I wasn’t sure what he was actually asking.

“Cutie, I need a longer question.” That had him pausing for a moment before he let out a dry chuckle.

“Okay, yeah.” The silence that followed wasn’t helpful, though. “Um, I guess I wasn’t sure what you meant by doing something together, and then I started thinking about the little time you suggested and it all got jumbled?”

That was a bit more helpful but not as much as he seemed to think.

As I tried to decide if I needed Bishop to translate this conversation, I approached it from another perspective. “If you’re wondering about being little around me, I don’t want you to worry about that. Even though I’m not your Daddy, I know part of dating a little is seeing them little.”

That seemed obvious, but when he let out a deep breath, I realized maybe it wasn’t. “Bishop said you wouldn’t find it weird.”

Since he seemed to need some reassurance on that fact, I scoffed and made an exaggerated huff that had him giggling. “I’m Uncle Cohen. Of course I wouldn’t find it weird.”

I’d stumble around trying not to offend him or fuck it up, but I wouldn’t find it weird.

“Don’t forget. Bishop is a pup and I’ve known Eli and Preston a long time. Nothing you want would surprise me.” And just to make sure he realized how honest I was being, I decided to explain it in more detail. “And I have been doing a good bit of research about what a little needs. I didn’t want Bishop excited about something I couldn’t relate to, so I’ve been doing a lot of reading.”
