Milah didn’t mind.

Ricky was her big brother, and over the past five years, they had built up a sound friendship.

Damon had also given Ricky the ring, but her brother hadn’t wanted it, so, one day, all three of them had gone out on a yacht, and she’d flung it into the ocean. The curse of the Russo would never be seen or heard from.

“How are you feeling?” Ricky asked.

Milah put a finger against her lips. “I haven’t told him.”

Ricky whistled.

The only reason he knew that she was pregnant was that he’d been there during several days of her morning sickness. She hadn’t gotten a test and she didn’t want to tell Damon unless she knew for sure.

“Not told me what?” Damon asked, approaching with Daniel wrapped around his leg refusing to let go, and Alicia in his arms, looking tired.

“That is my cue to leave,” Ricky said, and she glared at him.

Ricky was a good uncle, and he even got along with Damon as well.

She smiled as Daniel pounced on his uncle’s leg, and Alicia simply settled as if she was going to sleep. Her babies were so precious.

Damon cupped her face, kissing her passionately before taking a seat. “What do you have to tell me?” he asked.

Milah nibbled on her lip. “I wanted to get a test done first, but I think I might be … pregnant.”

She stared at Damon, waiting for a reaction. They had said they were going to wait until Alicia was a little older before having more kids, but they hadn’t given themselves time, and now, she was pregnant.

He stared into her eyes, and the smile on his lips brought one to her own. “Have I told you lately how much I love you?”

“You tell me every single day.” She smiled at him. “And I love you for telling me all the time.”

“Good, because I love that you trusted me, Milah. I was a bastard to you, and I—”

She put her finger to his lips. “Enough. It’s all in the past, and that’s where I am going to leave it. Guess what? You should too.”

Damon De Luca was a monster, a complete and total bastard. To his enemies, he was the nightmare no one wanted in their life.

To Milah De Luca, he was the love of her life, the man who saved her. He allowed her and only her to see him vulnerable. His greatest weakness was her, and he was hers. No one would ever find out.

This was how she would defeat the feud.

By loving this man so fiercely because she did love him with her whole heart, just as he loved her.

Damon stared down at his sleeping children.

Two babies, and another on the way.

He had never felt fear in his life. That day, five years ago, at the thought of losing Milah, he’d felt real fear.

She had never mocked him for it. Never held it against him, but Milah knew the key to his destruction.

He’d tried to stay in perfect control. To make Milah think she was just an object to some greater plan, but it was all a lie.

Damon fell in love with the fiery woman he’d seen on her birthday. That love had grown, and he’d watched her flourish into this very passionate woman he wanted by his side.

Turning off the bedroom light, he stepped out and moved toward his room. Milah sat on the bed, waiting for him.

His love.

His woman.

His reason to fucking breathe.

If anyone tried to take her from him, they would beg for death long before he gave it. She was his soul mate. His love. His everything, and only she would see this devotion.

The End
